82 Tidewater Building Cummins-Powered Crew Boat at Breaux Brothers Breaux Brothers Enterprises Inc of Loreauville Louisiana is building a 155x30-foot crew boat for Tidewater Marine. The boat will have four KTA38 M2 main engines rated 1350 HP at 1950 RPM for a total of 5400 HP. The engines will turn 46x24-inch props through WVS 430/1 S.C. 2.458:1 marine gears. A maximum speed in excess of 24 knots with a 100 LT deadweight cargo is anticipated with a range of 1,415 nautical miles at 19 knots. Crew accommodation will be in five 2-man staterooms and the vessel is certified to carry 72 people. Deck cargo will be up to 250 LT on the 90x26-foot clear aft deck space. Tankage includes 25,765 U.S. gallons (97.5 T.) of ballast/fresh water, 17,035 U.S. gallons (54.9 T.) of fuel, 900 U.S. gallons of potable water and 330 gallons of lube oil. Electric power will be supplied by a pair of 75 Kw gen sets each driven by a Cummins 6BT engine. The boat will be equipped with a single 1,000 GPM firefighting monitor, a Wesmar dual prop counter rotating hydraulic bow thruster, Furuno radars and GPS.
