510 July 2008 Cummins Power for Swissco
Swissco Offshore, the Singapore-based vessel operator, has recently taken delivery from the Guangzhou Panyu Lingshan Shipyard of a 36-meter off shore support vessel. The Swissco Super, designated an Offshore Utility Support Vessel, joins their growing fleet (www.swissco.net/fleet.html) that includes a diverse range of vessels from crew boats to barges.
On deck a single drum hydraulic towing winch with 40-ton retrieval capability (@the first layer) and a 100-ton brake is loaded with 600 meters of 40-m/m wire rope. The aft deck is 16.2x7.2 meters providing 116.64 square meters of clear deck space. Air-conditioned accommodation is provided for up to 20 crewmembers in two single, three twin and three four-bunk cabins. Electronics, including radar, GPS, weather fax, echo sounder, SSB and VHF radios are by JRC with the compass is Daikok Kelki and the autopilot of from Comnav. In the Swissco Super’s 36x9.8-meter hull with its 4.3-meter molded depth there is tankage for 250 cubic meters of fuel and 100 cubic meters of water.
