Neuville Delivers to Texas Crewboats

In June of 2006 Neuville Boat Works of New Iberia Louisiana delivered a 150 by 28-foot crew boat to Capt. Elliot Cundieff of Feeport Texas for his Texas Crewboats fleet (Hotips#362). In late January of 2008 Neuville will deliver a larger vessel to the same owner. The new boat, the Greater Scott, is 158 by 30 feet with a 12.5-foot molded depth. It is powered by four Cummins KTA38 M2 engines each producing 1350 HP at 1950 RPM for a total of 5400 HP. The engines turn into Twin Disc MG6650 gears with 2.47:1 ratios spinning four 26-foot long 4.5-inch diameter shafts with Hy-Torq 45/46-inch Nibral propellers from Jefferson Propeller. The boat is fitted with a 75 HP electric over hydraulic 24-inch tunnel bow thruster.

Tankage is provided for 21,000 gallons of fuel, 38,000 gallons of rig water and 1230 gallons of potable water. Maximum deck cargo will be about 280 long tons on the 2242-square-foot open after deck. Seating is provided for 66 passengers In total with 53 in reclining seats. Sleeping accommodation is provided for eight crewmembers in four double bunks.

The Greater Scott will be certified for USCG Subchapter T.
