The photo shows the 3200 hp M/V Eugenie Cenac waiting for her turn in Lock #52 on the Ohio River near Paducah Kentucky. She is powered by a pair of Cummins’ new V-16 QSK50-M Tier 2 certified engines each generating 1600 hp. The engines turn into Reintjes gears with 6:1 ratios. The 105 by 30-foot vessel has now been in service for about six months.
