The well-known Italian builder Cantieri Navali di Pesaro has recently delivered the new fishing vessel Nonno Brando to owner Giani. The 28 by 7-meter vessel is classed by RlNa. Propulsion power for the Nonno Brando is a single Cummins KTA50-M2 diesel delivering 1600 hp at 1800 RPM. The main engine turns a four-bade propeller with a diameter of 2150 mm through a Reintjes WAF665 marine gear. The vessel’s two auxiliary generator sets are powered by Cummins 4BT3.9D-m engines. Accommodation on the blue-hulled vessel is provided for a crew of seven. On trials the Nonno Brando achieved 13.2 knots.
