River Towboat Update

Cummins-powered MV Dioniso
The Cummins-powered MV Dioniso on a Russian river.

Today I received photos of two boats described in previous Hotips. The first vessel is the Russian-built river pushboat described in Hotips#342 from March 2006, “Cummins Power for Russian Towboats.”

The second photo is an updated image of the currently building Brice ATB tug from Chaisson Welding described in Hotips#398. The owner’s representative Jim Huffama Sr. asked that I also let you know that Halimar Shipyard in Morgan City is building the 244x54x12 barge for the tug. Mike, who has the photo credit, says that the new boat is going into the water in the next day or so.
