Malaysia’s NGV Tech Delivers Fast Crew Boat

The 38-meter aluminum alloy crew boat Ajang Duha was delivered to her owners Ajang Shipping this past June. The builder, with a yard at Selangor Malyasia, is NGV Tech SDN BHD. Designed by Shiptech Pte. Ltd of Singapore the vessel has an 8.2-meter beam and a molded depth of 3.65 meters. Her main engines are three, 50-liter 16-cylinder Cummins KTA50 M2 diesels are coupled to Twin Disc MG 6848SC with 2.93:1 ratios. The 1800 hp engines turn three 1360 mm 5-blade propellers for a total of 5400 hp. The boat is also fitted with a HRP 1001TT bow thruster, a Hypac anchor winch and a pair of Cummins 6BT 5.9D 80 kW generators sets.

Accommodation is provided for a ten-member crew with seating for 50 passengers. Tankage includes 75 cubic meters for fuel, 35 cubic meters for water and 200 liters of lube oil. The aft deck provides 85 square meters of clear deck space for cargo. The Ajang Duha was designed to perform at 31 knots and is classed +A1 HSC Crew Boat + AMS.
