2000 Ton Floating Crane for Dubai Drydocks

Dubai Drydocks http://www.drydocks.gov.ae/ have built for their own account a 2000-ton floating crane. Mounted on an 86.4 by 38.5-meter barge the crane has a maximum hook height of 99 meters. Diesel electric power for the crane is provided by four 12-cylinder heat-exchanger cooled Cummins VTA28D(M) engines turning generators of 500 Kw each.
