2 Serodino Shipyard constructs steel towboat Construction of a 52-foot steel towboat has started at the Serodino Shipyard on the Tennessee River near Chattanoga. Delivery to the Catoosa Port of Tulsa Oklahoma, where she will serve as a switch boat, is scheduled for early November 1997. Main engines will be a pair of Cummins NTA-855-M diesels delivering a total of 700 hp through Twin Disc MG514 4.5:1 gears to 52X34-inch props. Beam on the 52-foot vessel will be 22 feet with a maiximum draft of five feet. Electical power will be generated by a Cummins 4B3.9-G.
